本動画は、東京のゲンロンカフェで行われたトークショーを収録したものです。 ※東の登壇は後半1時間半のみです。 【収録時のタイトル】 武富健治×切通理作+東浩紀 司会＝さやわか「神話、英雄、異形――『古代戦士ハニワット』単行本発売記念イベント」 【収録日】 2019/6/18 【イベント概要】 マンガ家・武富健治氏が描く、超古代伝奇ヒーロー譚『古代戦士ハニワット』単行本第1巻＆2巻発売記念イベント！！ テレビドラマ・映画化された代表作『鈴木先生』や、又吉直樹氏の芥川賞受賞作を原作にした『火花』など、濃密な心理描写や世界観の演出で、根強い人気と高い評価を得ているマンガ家・武富健治氏。 2018年7月より「漫画アクション」にて最新作『古代戦士ハニワット』連載をしている。 【武富健治氏からのメッセージ】 『古代戦士ハニワット』の目標は、一言でいえば、一般にもマニアにも、ともに熱狂して共有してもらえる、重厚で新しい特撮ヒーロー漫画を立ち上げ、新しい可能性を提示することです。 その「新しさ」には、80年代以前に僕自身が強く「影響を受けた」作品のエッセンスや魂を紹介するという温故知新のニュアンスも強くあります。 僕の好きな超メジャー作品というのは必ずそういう温故知新要素を持っているんですよね。アニメになりますが、「ヤマト」にしろ「ガンダム」にしろ「エヴァ」にしろ…。それは絶対に踏まえたい。 今現在、マンガ、アニメ、特撮作品などの多くのエンタメ作品は、90年代ごろに完成した型や枠の中で表現を展開しているように感じています。それは送り手が、「こういうのは古い」「流行らない」と、若い時に思ったまま、それを更新せずに発露をセーブし続けているからかもしれません。 いいかげんそろそろ…いけるんじゃないかと。 ほかにもいろいろな切り口で、「案外これまでなかった」（と自分なりに思われる）ものを目いっぱい投入しているつもりです。 例えば本作では、【等身大ヒーローで、ウルトラマンをやる】ことをメインのコンセプトのひとつに据えています。この場合の「ウルトラマン」というのは、「社会派（時代批判的）作品」の他、「巨大感」「神秘的な超人感」などを指しています。戦闘シーンも、スピード感や手数の多さをあえて避けた上で、どれだけ観客を引き込めるかを追求したりしています。 もちろん、エンタメの方法論の提示だけが目的ではありません。 むしろ、20歳の頃、文芸漫画の追求に「転向」してからずっと積み重ねてきた自分の中のしちめんどくさい何かを、10代の頃に考えた素朴でキャッチーなパッケージを使って、表現し切りたいという意識が強かったりもします。 最近のハリウッドのアメコミ映画が、古典アメコミの設定を原作・原案として駆使して、最新の思想を蓄えた重厚な作品を作っている、その作業に近いと自分では思っています。 『鈴木先生』の時、ある方から「これは、教師漫画という皮をかぶった何かだ」という評を頂いて、それがとても気に入っています。 流行らないと見なされたり、規制や風潮などの問題で、多くの送り手が提示しなくなってしまい、若い読者が触れぬままになってしまったようなものを、あの手この手で工夫して、メジャーの場に持ち込むという試みをずっと重ねてきました。 『ハニワット』でもそういったことがやれればと思っています。 【イベントページへのリンク】 https://genron-cafe.jp/event/20190618/
