元「慰安婦」たちが肩を寄せ合って暮らす韓国の「ナヌム（ナヌム）の家」。1994年12月から2年にわたって日本人ジャーナリストが6人のハルモニたちの生活と声をカメラで記録した。元「慰安婦」という共通の体験以外、その境遇や歩んできた道はまったく異なるハルモニたち。支えあい、時には激しくぶつかり合う。そんな生活の中で彼女たちは消せない過去の記憶と、抑えられない感情を日本人の記録者にぶつけ、吐露する。あれから20年が経った今、あのハルモニたちはもうこの世にいない。残されたのは、彼女たちの声と姿を記録した映像だった。 『沈黙を破る』（2009）、『異国に生きる―日本の中のビルマ人―』（2013）『福島は語る』（2019）で受賞の土井敏邦監督の新作ドキュメンタリー 2009年度キネマ旬報文化映画ベスト・テン第１位に輝いた『沈黙を破る』、2013年度文化庁映画文化記録映画優秀賞を受賞した『異国に生きる―日本の中のビルマ人―』、2019年度同賞受賞の『福島は語る』の土井敏邦監督が、戦後70年の2015年、新作を完成させた。テーマは、国内で議論を呼んでいる「慰安婦」問題。3時間半を超えるこのドキュメンタリー映画は、「問題の解決」や「史実の検証」を目指したものではない。被害女性たちの証言をありのままに記録した映像作品である。 第一部　分かち合いの家〔124分〕 「ナヌムの家」で暮らすハルモニたち。過去を忘れるための酒が手放せず荒む女性、息子に過去を知られ悩み苦しんだ女性、戦後、結婚もできず、孤独に生きてきた女性…。彼女たちの日常とともに、「慰安婦」の記憶や戦後の波乱の半生を語る5人の声を丹念に記録。 第二部　姜徳景（カン・ドッキョン）〔91分〕 ナヌムの家の住人で最年少の姜徳景は「女子挺身隊」として日本に渡るが、脱走したことで「慰安婦」にされる。望まれない子を宿し、戦後帰国した彼女の波乱の半生。その体験と心情を姜徳景は絵で表現した。やがて肺がん末期と宣言される。彼女が死を迎えるまでの2年間を記録。
