本動画は、東京のゲンロンカフェで行われたトークショーを収録したものです。 【収録時のタイトル】 勝川俊雄×鈴木智彦「ゆれ動く日本の水産業と食文化を考える――豊洲市場移転、漁業法改正…そして、サカナとヤクザ」 【収録日】 2019/1/29 【収録時のイベント概要】 2018年秋に出版された『サカナとヤクザ 暴力団の巨大資金源「密漁ビジネス」を追う』（小学館）( https://amzn.to/2Rj82HG )が大きな話題を呼んでいる。 アワビ、ウニ、カニなどをはじめ、われわれの食卓にのぼる高級魚の多くが実は密漁品であり、その密漁ビジネスは、暴力団の巨大な資金源となっているという。 著者であるフリーライターの鈴木智彦氏は、密漁の現場に張り込んだり築地市場へ潜入労働をするなど、北海道から九州、台湾、香港まで、5年にわたる長期取材を敢行した。 日本の食品業界最大のタブーに迫る決死の潜入ルポは、鈴木氏自身「取材はまるでアドベンチャー・ツアーだった」と述べるほど衝撃的である。 さらに、密猟の実態を暴くだけでなく、カニ密猟と深く関わる北方領土問題、日本屈指の水揚量を誇る千葉県銚子市のアウトサイダーたちなど、戦後日本史の裏側を鮮やかに描いていく。 2018年の後半は、日本の水産業をめぐる幅広いニュースが続いた。 10月、世界最大級の魚市場である築地市場が83年の歴史に幕を下ろし、新市場となる豊洲市場が開場した。衛生・温度管理が保たれる閉鎖型の施設に国際水準の設備が整い、新たな「日本の台所」としてのスタートを切った。 しかしながら30年余りも混迷を続けた移転問題がこれで解決済みになったとは言えず、今後の検証が待たれるところも多い。 12月には、70年ぶりの抜本的な改革となる改正漁業法が国会で可決・成立した。 水産資源の適切な管理強化と水産業の成長産業化の両立を目指した今回の改正を評価する声がある一方で、その実効性に多くの漁業関係者が不安を訴えるなど、運用にあたっての課題はまだまだ山積している。 この度、ゲンロンカフェでは『サカナとヤクザ』著者の鈴木氏に加え、東京海洋大学准教授の勝川俊雄氏をお招きする。 勝川氏は『サカナとヤクザ』では鈴木氏のインタビューを受けた。 そのなかで勝川氏は「外圧がないと、水産業界が変われないということなら、消費者に現状を知ってもらい、社会問題化する必要があります」（同書「おわりに」より）と日本の水産業界に警鐘を鳴らしている。 勝川氏のゲンロンカフェへの登壇は、東浩紀からの熱烈なラブコールで実現した、勝川俊雄×東浩紀「日本が漁業後進国になった理由」（2016年11月10日開催）以来2回目となる。 日本の水産業のゆくえはどうなるのか？ 日本人の食文化はどう変わっていくのか？ 勝川氏と鈴木氏というこれ以上ない刺激的な組み合わせで、日本の水産業制度の問題から現場の実態まで、ゆれ動く日本の水産業と食文化を徹底考察する！ 【イベントページへのリンク】 https://genron-cafe.jp/event/20190129/
