知的障害を持つ人、その人たちを支援する人、 そして社会の多くの人たちに見てほしい。 ピープルファースト２５年の軌跡(きせき)と、当事者の思い わたしたちは　障害者である前に人間だ！ 日本の知的障害者がピープルファーストに出会ったのは１９９１年、アメリカから来日した知的障害を持つ当事者コニーとその支援者バーバラでした。生き生きと自分のことを決めているコニーと、支援者のバーバラの対等な関係に衝撃を受けます。 第１回の大会が開かれたのは１９９４年。そして、昨年１１月に大阪で第２５回ピープルファースト大会が開催されました。映像は、カナダで初めてピープルファーストを体験した知的障害当事者、生田進さんの「長いようで短かった２５年やなあ。わしは、このピープルファーストに出会っていなかったら何も知らんでいた。ピープルファーストがどうやって生まれたのかをしってほしいんや」の語りとともに、２５年のあゆみをふり返ります。 最初のころから関わっている東京の佐々木信行さんは「ピープルファーストは、ぼくの生きていることの、もう一部になっている」と語ります。そして、北海道の土本秋夫さんは「ずっと気持ちをまげないでやってもらいたいな。障害者である前に一人の人間として、差別されないこと。自分を信じること、仲間を信じること、まわりの人たちも信じること」と、次世代の人に思いを伝えます。 ２５年間つづけてきた活動の重みと当事者の思いが伝わる作品に仕上がっています。 監督：小川道幸　プロデューサー：林淑美 語り：生田進　ナレーション：吉田和美 撮影：折笠貴…
