電動車椅子を使って生活する石田智哉監督は、「しょうがい者の表現活動の可能性」を探ろうと取材をはじめた。演劇や朗読で活躍する全盲の俳優・美月めぐみさん、ろうの手話表現者の育成にも力を入れているパフォーマーの佐沢静枝さん。多様な「ちがい」を橋渡しするひとたちを訪ねる。石田と撮影、録音スタッフの3人で始まった映画制作。対話を重ねながら、映画のつくり方も変化していく。 石田自身の心と体にも大きな転機が訪れる。振付家でダンサーの砂連尾理さんは、「しょうがい」を「コンテクストが違う身体」という言葉で表現した。「車椅子を降りた石田くんがどんなふうに動くのかを見てみたい」。そう誘われて、石田もパフォーマーとして舞台に立つことに。とまどい、揺れながら、またあらたな表現の可能性が拓かれていく。…
